What topic, ideas and concerns need to be discussed amongst the South Campus Neighbouhood Coalition members, and/or with the University on the South Campus Consultation Group.

The discussion needs to include the impact of the new development on our home for sure. We are the ONLY home that directly connects to the property of Michener Park. We have had many issues with rude children that have abused our dogs, noise, property invasion from Michener residents and the regular issues with people parking their vehicles in front of the house to access Michener Park instead of using their guest parking. We would appreciate having a chance to voice our issues.

Hi Garry - Take a look at the latest drawings from the Uni - you can send any thoughts directly to the Uni, but let me know as well, so we can incorporate your views at the focus group meetings.

Cory: The pedestrian entry in front of our house has become and will become a parking area for people not wanting to walk across the complex. It has already become a rather annoying issue and we try to deal with it the best we can, but it needs to be addressed. A residential parking area with stickers might be a solution but closing the access would be better.

Further, with a green belt next to our yard, we will have more people at our fence driving our dogs crazy. They seem to think it is funny to stand at the fence with their kids to make the dogs bark and we have had bylaw issues from people being silly and mistaking our dogs for the one next door. We have also had threatening notes that are aimed at our dogs. I would suggest they be prepared to build a 6'-8' fence that is not chain link to address the privacy issue for our yard at the very least.

The other factor will be the construction issues of what happens when they need to remove the existing chain link fence as will be the case when they are regrading for this sewer drainage and green belt. Will there be a provision made so our dogs can still be in the yard? I'd also like to know what time construction will begin and end so that I know what to expect for noise. A 7am start and 10pm end is going to be an issue especially if they expect to be doing construction 7 days a week.
